Biography

Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree in industrial and manufacturing engineering at Oregon State University, Andy LaFrazia served seven years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. He earned an MBA from Washington State University before joining the company founded by his parents, ControlTek. LaFrazia has been president of ControlTek, an electronic manufacturing services contract manufacturer, since 2000 and under his leadership, the company has experienced a 20% average annual growth rate in sales over the past five years. LaFrazia also is a major in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and, in 2007-08, spent a tour of duty in Iraq. In his role at Al Asad as spoke commander of the Red Horse unit, he oversaw heavy construction activities, including building hangers, warehouses, classrooms, and office space, as well as electrical, airfield, and road projects.
